Using App To Remove Duplicate Contacts
Step 1. First of all, Download and Install an app Simpler Merge Duplicates.
Step 2. Now open the app and then the app will start scanning all the contacts on your Android device.
Step 3. Now you will see all the number of duplicate contacts on your Android device.
Step 4. Now tap on merge option and all your contacts with similar details and name will get merged into a single copy of every contact.
That’s it! Now your all duplicate contacts get removed/merged in your device.
Using Gmail To Merge Contacts
If you have enabled the contacts syncing with Gmail or your contacts get saved in Gmail account. So there is need to install some third party app to remove duplicate contacts then you can do this by simply login into your Gmail account.
After login into your Gmail account, you need to select “Contacts” from the drop-down and all your contacts will be displayed.
Now you will see Find Duplicates option just click on it, and you can see all your duplicate contacts there. To delete or merge duplicate contacts just click on it or you can select all to merge in one go.
Using Duplicate Contacts App:
Step 1. First of all, download and install Duplicate contacts app on your Android smartphone. Launch the app.
Step 2. Now give permission to access your contacts to the app. Simply tap on ‘Allow’ to continue.
Step 3. Now in the next step, it will ask to Allow to access photos, media, and files on your device. Allow it to continue.
Step 4. Now just swipe the app from left to right and there select the option ‘Show all’.
Step 5. Now you will see all the duplicate contacts if the app finds any, which you can delete them directly from the app.
