Samsung has launched two new mid-range Galaxy ‘J’ series smartphones, the Galaxy J7 Max and Galaxy J7 Pro, at an event in New Delhi. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro are priced at Rs. 17,900 and Rs. 20,900 respectively. The Samsung Galaxy J7 will be available from June 20 via offline retail and Samsung’s online store while Galaxy J7 Pro will hit the stores mid-July onwards. Both the phones being offered in two colours — Black and Gold.

Samsung has joined hand with Reliance Jio to give extra 120 GB of data to their Galaxy J7 Max and Pro users. On a recharge of Rs. 309, they will get 10 GB extra data for 12 months. The company has also announced that both phones come with the Samsung Pay Mini payments solutions. Samsung Pay Mini payments solutions will support payments via UPI and wallets like Paytm.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Max specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max comes with the Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and features a 5.7-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display as its name suggest. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz and coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage is further expandable via a microSD card slot as well.
In terms of Camera, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max packs a 13-megapixel rear and front sensors with f/1.7 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively, and flash support on both ends. The rear camera comes with the smart glow mode that gives you alerts for notifications when they arrive. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max backed by a 3300mAh battery, and connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth support. The smartphone is only 8.1mm thick.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The phone is powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.6GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB. The smartphone backed by a 3600mAh battery and is IP54 certified for being splash proof. It supports dual-SIM slots, USB Type-C port, and 4G LTE. The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is 7.9mm thick. In terms of Camera, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro also packs a 13-megapixel rear and front sensors with f/1.7 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively, and flash support on both ends. Connectivity options are same as Galaxy J7 Max.
Both the smartphones come with a slim metal unibody design with no bezel on the left and right edges of the smartphone. Fingerprint scanner comes underneath Home Button.
