Xiaomi another Budget Phone, Redmi 4 has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6,999, at an event in New Delhi. The Redmi 4 will also be available in 3GB RAM and 32GB memory version for Rs 8,999 and the top end 4GB RAM and 64GB memory version for Rs 10,999. The company also launched its Mi Router 3C for Rs 1,199.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 was first launched in China in November last year. In India, the new smartphone essentially replaces the highly popular Redmi 3s smartphones. Xiaomi India’s Manu Kumar Jain recently revealed that the company had managed to sell 4 million units of the Redmi 3s smartphones in nine months. In the process, the smartphone became the highest selling phone ever in the online segment. Needless to say, the new Redmi 4 has some big shoes to fill.

Coming to the specifications, the dual-SIM smartphone features a 5-inch HD screen enclosed in a metal body. The screen is covered with a 2.5D curved glass that adds to the overall design language of the smartphone. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, which is an octa-core SoC, coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. The Redmi 4 supports 4G LTE and VoLTE out of the box, covering all-India LTE bands.
